Sibyl (OLD)

Sibyl: The Women’s College Academic Journal

Sibyl is the annual journal that showcases the academic achievements of the undergraduates of The Women’s College. The journal takes its name from the central character of A Mask, a play celebrating the merits of women’s education commissioned a century ago by the College’s first Principal Louisa Macdonald.

Each year students are invited to enter High Distinction essays in any discipline and any year level of their university courses to be considered for the journal. Essays are selected by an editorial board. Those selected give an indication of the range and diversity of the work undertaken by students at the College, and the quality of scholarship they display.
