Women's College Scholarship

Women's College Scholarship

Profile: Fiona Roughley

In my first year at university I lived at home and traveled a four-hour round trip to attend classes. Seeing the facilities and opportunities that Women's provides, I realised then that I wanted to attend college.

Since I did not have a Women's scholarship for my first year of college, I used all of my savings to afford the fees.

The generosity of the Women's College Scholarship program has enabled me to continue to live on campus for the last three years. I have continued to work part-time and supplement my income from other scholarships and bursaries, but the College scholarship program has been invaluable. It has afforded me so many opportunies to contribute and participate in the college and university communities. From the challenges and rewards of studying, to the experiences of debating at national and international tournaments and editing student publications, the financial assistance I have received from Women's has enabled me to seek to achieve the best.
