Student Rooms & Facilities
Every student has her own study bedroom. Rooms vary in size depending on their location in the five residential wings. Furniture including bed, desk, chair, lamp, book-shelf and side-table is provided.
Students decorate and personalise their own rooms. They fill them with mementos of home, photos of family and pets and their friends. Some bring fridges, televisions, computers, stereos, bright bed-covers and special cushions.
Each room has a telephone and is connected to the College computer network via Ethernet connections, allowing access to SYDNET, the University of Sydney's extensive computer network, as well as access to general files on the Women's College server.
Bathrooms, washing and ironing facilities are shared. Tea rooms on each corridor, where students gather informally, have snack, tea and coffee facilities. There are several music practice rooms available.
