ATTENTION: Female High School Principals and Senior Staff

QUICK RESPONSE GRANTS now available

For The Women’s Education Worldwide (WEW) Conference, 6 – 8 January 2010
at The Women’s College within The University of Sydney

There are limited grants available and will be allocated prior to 21 December 2009. With the financial assistance of The Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Sydney, sponsorship funds have been made available to assist female High School Principals and senior staff in Australia to attend the WEW Conference.

Eligibility

  • Female High School Principals or senior staff currently working full time in an Australian high school.
  • Applicants must be available to attend all three days of the conference.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who would not be able to participate in the conference without financial assistance.
  • Funds of up to $1200 per person will be made available to successful recipients.

Funding can be requested to cover:

  • Return travel to the conference
  • Conference registration
  • Conference accommodation at The Women’s College

N.B Most meals for delegates staying at College will be covered under registration and accommodation rates. Social events will be covered by conference registration.

Funding does not cover:

  • Spending Money
  • Daily expenses
  • Financial support for travel companions
  • Travel or health insurance

2. Application details

  • Provide a summary of your career and teaching experience.
  • Describe how your school and work will benefit from your attendance at the conference.
  • Describe how financial support will enable you to attend the conference.
  • Include the total amount of funding requested and include a break down of costs.

NB: Applicants are to use the concession Registration Rate of $200 and concession
Accommodation Rate of $219 (3 nights in a single room) for the purpose of this grant
application.

3. Payment of grant

  • Grant recipients will be reimbursed by cheque at the conference and on presentation of travel receipts.
  • Upfront payments will only be made in extreme circumstances.
  • Grant recipients will be required to complete a brief survey at the end of conference.
  • Grant applicants will receive a receipt via email once their application has been received.
  • All applicants will be notified within four business days regarding the outcome of their application.
