These are two very popular special occasions when parents are invited to College for a celebration with their daughters. They are held around Mother's Day in May and Father's Day in September. Both events are attended in black-tie or formal dress, and give students an opportunity to introduce their mothers or fathers, who respond with wit and wisdom on the theme of the evening. Mother Daughter Dinner festivities begin in the afternoon with a specially produced drama performance, Mum's the Word, which celebrates the relationships between mothers and daughters. |
