Application Procedure

Applications for 2009 are now open.

The Women's College welcomes applications for residence from women students who are enrolled in full-time undergraduate or postgraduate courses at the University of Sydney.

Application Forms are available for download (or can be posted to you). Your application is complete only after we have received:

  • A correctly completed and signed Application Form
  • A non-refundable Administration Fee of $50
  • 4 passport photographs (originals please)
  • 2 Referees' Reports

Once we have all of these the Secretary will contact you to make a time for your interview with the Principal. You will be given a tour of the College at the time of your interview.

To download the application form and referees' reports click here. (Note: this is a joint application form shared with the other University of Sydney Colleges. Please indicate your preference for Women's College on the initial page, and print or fill in the application online.)

Scholarships

Postgraduates are eligible to apply for the Marjorie Dalgarno and Judith Robinson Valery scholarships. For information on scholarships, see the scholarships page, or click here to download the application form.

If you would like the application form, referees' reports or scholarship application posted to you, or if you have any further queries, please contact the Principal's Executive Assistant.

Fees

In 2008 the fees for undergraduate residents are $386 per week. There is usually a small increase in fees each year. Fees cover full board, tutorials, library and computer facilities, numerous social and sports functions, and many other enjoyable features of College life. The College strives to be affordable to young women from all backgrounds, and provides financial assistance to some students in the form of scholarships and work opportunities.
